Composition

Capacity of trolleys up to 300 Kg. The sliding door is complete with anti-careering floor guide, U-shaped aluminum profiles for lateral protection, handles and pelmet.

Protection degrees

The grade of the lead shielding, therefore the thickness of the lead foil within the door, changes in relation to the radiation level emitted by the equipment positioned inside the client’s radiologic room. The information regarding the equipment radiation level is given by a Qualified Expert only after a proper and specific consultation.

The most common lead thickness for this product are: Pb mm 1, Pb mm 2, and Pb mm 3.

Laminate coating

The PRINT HPL laminate (High-pressure decorative laminates) identifies the high-pressure decorative laminate, a panel consisting of layers of cellulose fibers impregnated with thermosetting resins subjected to a high pressure process consisting in the simultaneous application of heat and pressure. This determines the fluidization and contextual polycondensation of the resins from which a homogeneous, non-porous material with the required surface finish is obtained. Essentially 60% of the HPL laminate consists of paper, while the remaining 40% consists of thermosetting resins (phenolic resin for the internal layers and melamine resin for the surface layer(s)).

The PRINT HPL laminate is also available in the slow flame propagation version (called “F1”) which thanks to the particular composition – in any case halogen-free – guarantees an even higher reaction to fire performance than the standard version.

The plastic laminate coating offers a wide variety of colors available.

The standard color is Bianco Primavera (Spring White).

Standard accessories

Pelmet made of silver press-folded metal with satin finish. Its function is purely aesthetic, to hide the whole sliding system;

Aluminum anti-accident D-shaped fixed handle, with satin finish. Diameter mm Ø16, with projection from the door surface mm 60. Height mm 125 mm;

Gasket inserted on three sides of the frame, in correspondence with where the door stops, and in the points where the frame embraces the wall. It reduces closing noises, blocks drafts, improves sound insulation, and covers the jamb fixing screws;
Anti-careening floor guide, used to avoid the exiting of the door from its seat. Fixed to the floor by means of rawlplugs. It is composed by an iron plate and a guide made of DELRIN, to reduce noises while sliding and to increase its durability over time;

Ground steel track, diameter 15;

Sliding door trolleys, capacity up to 160 Kg each, realized with a rubber damping system that greatly reduces the noise;

Stopper for sliding door made in DELRIN, complete with a rubber shock absorbing. It is fixed inside the sliding track of the door.

Accessories on demand

Micro-switch, an electric contact positioned on the door stop. The function is to immediately stop the working equipment inside the room, in case the door is opened, to prevent the X-rays to escape. The installation is at the Client electrician’s charge;

Leaded window installed on the door wing, its level of protection matching the one of the door. It’s a very useful accessory used to keep an eye on the patient during examination;

It is possible to paint the frame using a wide range of colors and finishes, it can be customized according to the customer’s choice. This operation implies an increase in production times. Painted with non-toxic paints, it makes the frame easy to clean and greatly elevates it in terms of aesthetics;

Sliding door automatism with an aluminum structure, complete with removable a lid with facilitated system for opening/closing the lid for maintenance and internal cleaning. Manual release lever for the electric mechanical lock;

Strike upright for sliding doors, installed on the outside of the frame, guarantees the closing of the door by means of a lock with a YALE type European cylinder. It is also shielded with lead inserted inside the special chamber.

Cleaning and disinfection

For cleaning, use non-abrasive cleaning tools. Possibly avoid leaving dirt and stains for a long time on the surface of the laminate. To avoid leaving marks, always remove the detergent, rinse, and dry well. It is advisable to proceed with a preliminary test on a small portion of the surface. Do not use aggressive products (such as, but not limited to: muriatic acid, products for cleaning silver and caustic soda).
